Mavillette Beach

Mavillette Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Canada. 1.5 km long, it has gorgeous cliffs on both ends capped by a working wharf with fishing boats and colourful gear. A river enters the beach from the marsh, etching a gracefully curving channel through the sand; each year its placement is different, depending upon the direction of the wind during the winter storms.

The dunes, the boardwalks, the sandpipers and seagulls, the surfers and swimmers are all part of the love affair I am having with this special place. Oh, by the way, it is a Provincial Park. How great is that!
