Historic Yarmouth

If I could go back in time to any era and any place, I would choose the turn of the century (circa 1890’s to 1920’s) Yarmouth. In 1993 I had a show of paintings at the Yarmouth County Museum. In preparation for the show I spent quite a bit of time in the museum archives looking at old pictures. What a pleasure! The architecture of that time period in Yarmouth was fantastic. Unfortunately, a lot of the beautiful buildings have been lost over time and the forest of masts in the harbour are a thing of the past but we still have an impressive historic district.
